Compression damping is not spring rate, it's there to control unsprung weight only, not the mass of the car. DA's set full soft on compression are pretty much the same compression as SA's, and the rebound range is also the same. So unless he for some reason needs more compression damping control, I think DA's are complete overkill. MHO

Interesting. So you'll bottom out earlier on the DA's?

The compression adjuster is on the side of the damper, which effectively heightens what you can hit. This isn't generally a problem with stiff enough springs or tall enough heights... Anyone here notice that 1LE springs are both taller and stiffer than stock???????? But it can be with lowering springs simply because you are losing working travel.

Im running the Strange SA front and rear and Im very happy with them. using qa1 325lb springs up front and stock in the back. I had the koni 4/4 and strano springs before and they were great for a handling car, but my efforts are more drag now. The strange shocks aren't bad for comfort though, run them at about 5 front and rear and its very comfortable, and when you out the fronts at 0 the front end comes up so easy!

That's all fine, but I had a note the other day from a guy who'd never had his F-body to the strip before and pulled a 1.65 on Koni's, lowering springs and my big bar set (the heavier solid front even). I've got reports of Koni cars as low as 1.50 I can verify on stock springs.

Depends on your goals I guess. But I don't think Koni's lauch badly at all and are certainly the best control shocks.
