Strano Springs: "the next batch" Just a reminder for those wondering what the status is on the Strano Springs:
Order was placed of a 100 set run on 1/5/09 (about 6 weeks ago). Generally arrival of springs is about 12 weeks from the time the order is placed (give or day a week or so). We are halfway to the estimated delivery time, which should be very early April--just in time for many of you to get your cars out of storage!
Of the 100 sets coming in, already we have about 15 of those sets spoken for or sold. By the time the last order arrived we had some 70 on order or sold and the remaining sets sold out within 2.5 weeks.
I don't know if that will happen again. What I do know is the springs are impossible to keep in stock. Of all the bad things that could be, I supposed having something out of stock because folks like the product isn't the worst thing in the world.
Anyway, this is a reminder that we are taking backorders. Price is still $275 shipped (to the continential US via ground freight) for the set of 4. Alaska, Hawaii, PR, and international shipment can be done as well, but the shipping is not free (though we offset some of the costs to be fair). Backorders are not charged via the website when you order. I need a completed order with your CC information to act as the official hold, but your credit cards will not be billed until the spring arrive and are ready for shipping.

I order complete sets only. Sometimes we have extra rears, but I won't know that until most of the complete sets are gone.

Sorry, been a bit behind in updating....
The springs are in the US, we are waiting for Customs and Dept. Homeland Security clearance (they are x-raying the containers).
I have 74 sets sold as of right now. Orders are filled on a first ordered, first-sent basis. I ordered 100 sets of springs. I get varying deliveries. Last time I got 111 sets, the time before 94. At this point I need to make folks aware that if we run out of springs before your order is filled you will be notified. I try to not take too many orders, but these things are in such demand... This is a big reason why I do not charge for the springs until they are ready to ship. I do not want to take the money if I can't furnish the springs!
Bottom line, if you've waited--it might already be too late. If it's not it's damned close. That's TBD when the shipment arrives.
