Less traction with sportlines?
I was just wondering if my car being lowered affects the traction, me launching.....it was my first time at the track and my best 60' was a 2.29 so is that normal im pretty good at drving a stick launching about 2k and spinning pretty bad.
and best ET was 13.7 im pretty sure I had a 13.5 run going but I hit 5th instead of third!

When you lowered your vehicle it lowers your suspension and readjusts the rear lower control arms so that they are no longer parallel with the ground. The best suggestion for this problem would be a set of Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets! what they will do is allow you to adjust your control arms so they will eliminate wheel hope and gain back your traction.
Hope that helps!
Thanks

Its in the driving man, I pulled a 1.95 60 on street tires with sportlines last fall. I do have some wheel hop though so I just put some UMI Relocation Brackets on so we'll see if it makes a difference. Slip the clutch out of the whole at around 3-4k instead of dumping it.

I haven't run my car at the track since I bought it, but I have sportlines and I do notice a bit of wheel hop when getting on it on the street. Personally the car sits a little low for my taste, so I have been throwing the idea around of changing springs (not sure which yet, Strano maybe) when my stock struts and shocks wear out. Someone before me has done a marginal at best job of boxing in the rear control arms at some point. Plan on some boxed arms and relocation brackets in the future as well.
