Just so everyone knows. LS1 Calipers and C5 abutment brackets work together. The pins, pin bolts, and abutment shims all work for this application.
I had to get new pins though. One of mine was stuck in the LS1 abutment.

Sorry, to butt in , but will this work on my 95 Lt1 and where are ya'll buying the C5 calipers from. Just found out today that I need to replace my calipers and would like to upgrade.I like doing track days. But, I really don't want to spend 1000$ bucks either.

It does work for the LT1... I can get whatever you need...
C5 Front Rotors and F-Body adapter kit $350
C5 Calipers PAIR $200 ($80 core charge for each caliper though unless you send me F-Body calipers as core)
Rear F-Body Rotors (to match C5s) $100
Break Pads $100
Stainless Steel Lines $150
Total $1060 + shipping. Obviously you don't need to buy all of that now, just listing it for others as well...

Also the alternative to C5 would be to get the 98-02 series brakes for now since you 'need' to get new calipers. The swap normally runs 150 without rotors, and 180-210 with. Then you can upgrade later to bigger rotors/ calipers.

Well, 6LE, I was wondering the same thing. Besides casting differences that make the C5 ones a little more heat resistant, idk.
I sold my C5 calipers to fund the rest of the parts. I just used the f-body calipers.

its not just the caliper. its the size of the pad that the C5 caliper takes. thats the whole reason to swap, increased rotor AND pad size. plus there is a bigger variety of C5 race pads then there are LS1 pads.
if youre not doing any actual racing, ie: autox/track day/wheel to wheel, then stick with LS1 gear and upgraded pads.
