race pedal kit??
does any one know of a company that makes a race pedal kit. im not talking about the cheap pedal pads people sell. im talking about somthing that will bring the gass pedal up to the same level as the break. so you dont have to strain your leg to give the gass a little blip before letting off the clutch to down shift while breaking?
i will also post this in power development under breaking (i have no clue where to put this)
any help will be much appreciated
thanx

Check these out,
They are the nicest I have seen anywhere.
"Features include:
Gas pedal that is designed specifically for heel/toe shifting. "

Re: race pedal kit??
Like I said, check out Thunder Racing who sales MBA billet pedals (MBA is also a direct sponser) as they do raise the pedal level. They just aren't as wide or as nice looking in my opinion which is why I went for a different set.

I can only assume that you are like me in that you use the ball of your foot to blip the throttle as opposed to your heel.
Go to Wal-Mart and buy an acrylic cutting board. Usually about $3 and comes in colors and differing thicknesses.
Trace out the shape you want and cut it with a fine toothed jig saw. Sand the edges with 100 grit sand paper.
Buy an OEM gas pedal, about $1.
Remove the OEM gas pedal and place the cut out acrylic onto the old gas pedal and use short wood screws to attach it.
Cut the ribbing off the back of the new gas pedal so that it lays flat on the acrylic. Place it over to the left of the cut out piece to get it closer to the brake pedal. Use those same flat head wood screws.
Reinstall it and give it a try. To make adjustments, just unscrew it and move it. If you don't like the shape, cut out another one from the remaing acrylic cutting board.
