Default Steering a little bit loose

Well, as the title says my steering is a little loose. When im going straight down the road i can wiggle the steering wheel and the car is still going straight. Not really sure what would fix this, but it seems to be getting worse. I deffinatly want to get this fixed before i take it down the track this summer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

my is still like that after I did my header install when I moved the steering joints (dont' know what they are called ?) out of the way. I guess I didn't tighten it enough and its still like that, kind of annoying but I'm not going to touch it until I have work on other stuff under the car

Try tightening the bolt on the steering arm, if its loose at all it will cause bump steer issues.

My guess:

You relocated the intermediate shaft and this changed the angles of the u joints in the shaft.

Have someone move the wheel back and forth and check to see if the u joints are binding.

Worth a shot and its free to do. I thought my intermediate shaft was messed up but I pulled it and it was tight as anything.

The pinch bolts for that intermediate steering shaft have to be tight as hell. I use a 1/2 ratchet and tightened that puppy way past where I thought I should have to get rid of the slop.

If it's never been apart, then I would look at the tie rod ends for play.
