Best swaybar setup - general driving and drag use
I'm looking for help on selecting a rear sway bar setup. I've got a 2002 WS6 that has recently undergone a number of upgrades. I'm looking @ roughly 550-600WHP (dyno in May) on spray. The car is full weight w/very few weight reductions.
I've looked @ the BMR extreme, Spohn's drag bar and Strano's hollow bars as a F&R kit.
I hear great things about the drag bars, but I'm also interested in why Sam believes so strongly in keeping unsprung weight to a minimum... but I can't see how his 22mm rear bar can possibly keep the car level as it pulls it's tires @ the track.
Thanks for any insight.

Well its a trade off of what you want. A lot of people have our extreme on the rear and no sway bar on the front. We feel this is a good setup for a street/strip car making around your numbers or more. The car will come out of the hole straight and level.
(hypothetically speaking)
But if you are going to "gingerly" drive it on the street, other than light to light sprints, then the no front sway bar option might not be for you.

I've been driving without a front sway bar for a year now, I'm ok with that.
"Gingerly driving" doesn't exist in my vocabulary. LOL
I have a Ford 9 with the back brace on it. How do you recommend working around the bracing? Do I have to weld the mounts to the housing and replace the u-bolts with shorter bolts that would then tie the bushing housing to the mount?

There are no u bolts, we have two billet aluminum saddles that hold the swaybar bushings in place now, that is an older picture. You wont have to trim the bolts at all.

Does your drag swaybar setup have any of the shock clearance issues I've read about? Any other gotchas I need to be concerned with?
Twist my arm a little further and you'll probably have a sale today. LOL

We sell rear drag anti-roll bar setups for the 4th Gen's as well. Ours are lightweight and bolt-in to locate. The only welding that needs to be done is the tabs on the rearend housing. This setup actually comes out to be 7 lbs. less than the stock PHB, PHB brace, and rear sway-bar that gets removed. The kit comes fully assembled and includes a moly double-adjustable PHB.
