I'm looking at the 1139 front SA koni from Sam Strano or the 22140240 1LE fronts.
I can get the 1LE fronts cheaper than I can get the SAs (although this seems backwards to me). Wouldn't that be a better deal? I am probably going to buy when Strano gets back from racing, unless the 1LE shocks are better than the 1139s.
So is it....
1139 > 22140240
or
22140240 >1139
This is for just general driving. No real autocrossing, just looking to upgrade. It will be on Strano springs and Koni 1140 rears. Thanks!

And yes, I realize that the 22140240 are double adjustable. I think my real question is why would I NOT get the cheaper DA Koni's instead of the more expensive SA Koni's?

How are they "built better"? I knew about the different mounting positions, that's not a big deal to me. I wouldn't lower much at all if Strano's springs came in varying sizes....but I love the look of his springs combined with the performance and business ethics....
But again, how are they built better?

Here's and opinion from Strano himself.
I have to disagree with both of the above statements. Why? Well, because I own a set of DA's---yet that's not what I run on my car. ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
In fact, only one of my National Champioships was won on DA's (and even then I was running the compression full soft).
I don't see the reason to spend more on a more fragile shock (more to break and less compression travel because the bump adjuster is stacked onthe bottom of the shock).
