Default what should i pay to get some suspension parts installed??

hi,
i wanted to see how much you guys think i should pay to get relocation brackets, lca's and a pan hard bar installed?? i would do it myself except i live in a condo and we can't do any type of maintenance on our vehicles. were only talking about 10 bolts to install these part and what ever time it takes to install. it shouldn't really take longer than 45 minutes and thats moving slow.. what do you guys think would be a fair price??? thanks, mike

All bolt-on parts, not weld-on brackets?

It's not as easy as pie. Things need to be tweaked, pulled back together, reworked, etc. I wouldn't do it for less than $125. At least if I did it the job would be done right.

Will you pull as hard as you can on this big pry bar ($50) so I can get your bolt back in? The body shifted when I took the old one out.

Say, those brackets that hold your rear brake lines to the rear axle lower control arm brackets won't fit over your LCA relocation brackets. Do you want to throw them away and leave the brake line hanging loose to snag on stuff or rework them with pliers ($15), snips($20) and files($20), so they fit over the new parts?

Some of those bolts will only get torqued ($80) with the rear wheels off but with the wieght of the car still on the axle. This requires a lift($1750) and tall jack-stands ($150)or plenty of time to slide around with small jacks($120) and stands($20 ea). Still think it's 45 minutes going slow (and done right)?

Find someone with a shop $$$$x10 who knows what they are doing and pay them a fair price, or do it yourself and see how fast you can do it. Whatever you do, stop mechanic underbidding from your balcany, it pisses professional people off.

It might look weird, but I would just do it in the parking lot. LCAs and relcation brackets are really pretty easy to install (first hand exp) I would hate to have to pay someone to install that for me IMO. Just lay down an old quilt on the pavement and if you don't have the tools most autozones will let you borrow certain tools. Or have any buddies/family that have garages that will let you borrow?

Maniac Mechanic is right on the money. The work isn't anything too difficult, BUT it does take jackstands/tools, etc. Find a friend with a flat driveway or nice garage. That way if **** happens the car is safe. If you need something extra for the install, your friend can help you out.
