I take it your unsure of the specs. Use this to get a feel for spacing. Im not sure how much different it is since your have C5 brakes up front. This is used for guys with stock brakes though..

"The easiest way to see if you will need a spacer or adapter is to measure your stock brake setup (12" LS1 rotor and caliper) and see if you have at least 1 1/4" of spoke clearance. Once you take into consideration the new rotor offset and the new caliper thickness, the conversion will stick out 1" more than stock".

Anyone know if this setup will fit a 4th gen with C5 Z06 rear 18 inch wheels? With no spacer?

Well, I ordered up the CTS-V brembo 4 piston calipers. I'll bolt them up and see how they fit. I'm hoping I won't need spacers, we'll see.

my 18x9.5 OE wheel dd C5, cleared w/ the 12mm spacer. you have to worry about spoke clearance closest to the hub. my spokes were real thick and didnt clear. i could have went with a 10mm spacer or less.

in the future i'll b upgrading to the 6 piston brembo for bling purposes lol.

Just got my CTS-V calipers today, new parts, never used...for what I think is a great deal.
Got the Front Left unit (172-2287) for $101.28,
Front Right (172-2288) for $126.38,
and Rear Right (172-2308) for $75.25
I couldn't find Rear Left (172-2309) anywhere on the site
also got two Z06 14" rotors (177-1000) for 72.72 each

All of this was also tax free and free 2 day shipping, except on the rotors. Those were shipped ground but shipping was only $1.50 each!!

Not sure I can mention the site as they're not a sponsor, but I will say that you have to be a Prime member to get the free 2 day shipping, and you can sign up for a free 30 day trial of Prime membership.

They also have the 6 piston units (172-2487, 172-2488) for just under $335 each, but I couldn't pull the trigger on those knowing that the extra $440 or so dollars could complete the entire 4 piston front setup (hoses, pads, rotors) and some of the rear, and I think the gains would be minimal.

I'm determined to get the Brembos out back with a working parking brake (my car is has a manual trans) so next up will be a Strange S60 rear which will be a better choice for the fixed calipers (no c-clips) and much stronger than our 10 bolt rears. Has anyone made a kit for this? I'm hoping to use the Z06 13" rotors

Once I have all the parts ready, I plan to put them behind some Weld RTS's ala the GMHTP STI Killer Camaro, huge fan of the mods they've done to that car.

Love this thread, hope some of you get to jump on those deals

I ordered the same calipers, except I made the mistake and ordered two of the same caliper thinking they were identical side to side. I ended up ordering the correct one today, and got authorization to ship back the duplicate one for free. FYI, I got 3 day shipping free using the 'free shipping' option without having to sign up. They came out of their Delaware terminal, and I'm just north of Philadelphia, so it's a 3 day delivery for free.

I'm curious to see if they'll fit behind my CCW T10s.

I got the calipers today and of course I had to test fit them. I don't have rotors yet, so I had to remove the c5 rotor. It looks like I'm going to need at least a 5mm spacer, maybe more.

So now I need to get the rest of the bits and peices to complete the install.

looks awesome on your car. Just make sure that the bleeder screw is pointed up when you get the correct caliper. looking at pics of Caddy's with the Brembo's, the screw is always pointing up.

this is the 6 piston of course but its the same deal with ours

Thanks for the heads up. I know it's the passenger side, but for ease of install yesterday, I just tossed it on the driver's side since I have a 2-bay garage.

I may leave the "V" on them, not sure. I do like the silver look with the polished wheels. Now I'm going to have to powder coat the rears in the same silver.

Looks great bro....with that "airy" wheel pattern, those huge rotors will really look great! BUT, please don't leave the "V" on.....just doesn't look right.

^I agree. If your PCing the rears just do all 4, it will look cleaner. Can always get a cool Brembo sticker like LPE as well..

True, I'll most likely remove the "V" off the caliper.

So everyone knows, search amazon for the numbers posted.

I'm also curious. I read another thread that says with the 2010 rotor no washers are needed to space the caliper from the spindle. I also see a few guys are grinding these to fit under 17s now, if I ever get another DD I think this will be on the mod list.

the 2010 Camaro SS rotor also needs to be machined to fit the hub, and the bolt pattern is slightly different, just a tiny bit larger but it fits. only benefit is that they have slightly more pad contact, and you dont need $1 worth of washers for the caliper, but probably $20 for the machine shop work. the Z06 rotor is only $72 on amazon, i think the camaro rotor is more

the grinded caliper that fit under the 17" wheel also had a spacer to make it work, which is kinda like a giant washer if you think about it

Yeah, forgot about machining to fit.. That and the bolt that holds the rotor to the hub, I'd rather not bother with. Wouldn't be a problem if the wheel hides it, but I don't think mine would.

I'd rather run the camaro rotor since it has better pad fitment and doesn't require to shim the caliper out any further. I have a local machinist who can open up the rotor on a lathe without an issue, and it's not like I'm buying rotors often. Even if it's 10,000 miles, that's 10 years for me.

Fortunatley, my wheels hide the mating surface, so I'm going with the camaro rotors. Does Brembo make a blank for the 2010+ camaro?
