The LS hard lines are positioned in a horizontal way.

Thanks for the reply and pic. Wonder why on the LT1 the hard line loops around all stupid like. I suppose kore3 can make a 90° toward that end for me. What's the overall length of the braided line? 17.5 inches?

When i did the ats conversion on my 95. I used c5 stainless lines. They fit fine on both ends. I bent the hard line on the chassis have the line for easier. Just bend it slow with it off the bracket and it will be fine.

Anyone used CTS-V rotors?... they are 6 lug but seem to be correct in every other way, fronts are same dimensions as 5th gen SS rotors except the center bore and lug pattern... BUT the center bore works with our cars as it is, the CTS-V of certain years retains the larger 4th gen/vette center bore.

I'd rather drill the lug holes than mess with the center bore, as i can do that myself, no machine shop needed.

The rears are almost identical to 5th gen SS also, 2mm difference in hat height which should be easy enough to make up for or run as is.

Havent done the conversion yet but bought the discs, heres the part numbers and specs...

Why would you even spend time to redrill holes in a brake rotor? Just use one that fits, there's loads of options and suppliers, there certainly must be a rotor that works. You might also have a problem that 2 of your lug holes overlap/touch each other.

Im using the 5th gen SS calipers front and rear. As far as I can tell, the vette (front) and 5th gen camaro rotors (front and rear) are the only ones mentioned here that people use.

Both need mods.... the 5th gen rotors need the center bore opened up.

The front corvette rotor some people use has a different hat height and needs spacers on the caliper, which puts the caliper closer to the wheel.

To open the center bore on the 5th gen rotors to fit 4th gens, would cost me more than the rotors cost to get that done, and theres a chance the machine shop wont get it right.

The disc being properly centered on the hub is the most important part, so im using the CTS-V rotors that have the exact same center bore as 4th gen.

The lug pattern being perfect is not a big deal, but the center bore being off is. I wouldnt want my rotors not turning true.

Figured the info might be useful for some who dont have access to a reasonably priced machine shop to open up the 5th gen rotors.

Anyone have the part number for the bolt that holds the brake line to the ATS caliper?

Thanks

Sorry to bring this back from the dead,

The 2 M12 washers when I used them push the caliper VERY close to inside edge of rotor, and a nice gap on outside.

I use 1 12x36mm Washer (Which is 3mm total thickness) per bolt, gets it near center.

Just my experiance.

Spacing with M12 Big washer thats 3mm thick. One on each bolt between knuckle/caliper.

When I use the 2 M12 washers, a piece of paper would barley fit on the one side.
Outboard side rotor/caliper

Thanks for this. Do you know what size are the ends on the braided stainless brake hose? Are the factory hardlines that lead to the braided hose a M10x1.0 bubble flare on 3/16 lines?

Couldn't say 100% - I got the braided lines from Kore3 for their "CTSV caliper -> 4th gen Fbody chassis" - they just connected to factory hardline, down to the Brembo.

What rotors do you have were you used the M12 spacer? Camaro gen 5 that you had the hub bore machined or the corvette rotor?
Still got the wheels off the car? Was curious as to what the length of the braided lines are.
I thought that in order to fit the new caliper bolts as well as the hub bore diameter on the CTS-V brake rotors, you had to drill the holes on the spindle to 9/16” but also read that you don't have to drill? Did you drill yours?

CTSV 4 Piston calipers
CTSV Pads
C6-Z06 Rotors
3mm M12 Washer (1 per bolt)

No drilling at all, other then washers bolt up. The pads overhang the rotors SLIGHTLY, no effect on braking and when I service them I just sand away the slight lip thats formed and back in business.

Car is done and back together, but the lines I used, is as follows :

Kore 3 Line kit :
***2002 Pontiac T/A***
Note: CTS-V1 front brake swap.

1 10117 KIT, FlexKORE, BIG-BRAKE, 2-LINE, FRONT, GMF4, CUSTOM
1 KIT-INCL ***Kit includes the following items***
2 10141-16.5-CLR HOSE, FlexKORE, 20* 3/8(10) UNI BANJO X M10x1 FBF, 16.5 INCH, CLR
2 10059-01 BANJO BOLT, M10x1.0X23.4
4 10060-01 CRUSH WASHER, 3/8 (10mm)
2 10064-01 RETAINER CLIP, 5/8 BRAKE FITTING

CTS-V 4 Piston calipers w/C6-Z06 rotors will not fit under the 17 inch Z06 Speedline wheels. I had to sell 17" Speedlines. My C7 18x10.5 knock-offs have less than an inch of clearance.

I went with the ATS setup. All new brake lines were ran. In addition to the parts below, I needed (4) 20 Deg Side Bent 3AN To 10mm 3/8" Banjo / Brake Line Fitting Adapters.

Great blueprint for those looking to do this upgrade.
Well done.
