ive been researching this and started collecting data to help compare which direction to go. read and documented both the this 30+ page thread and the other 20+ page thread here and jotted down all the important bits. also spent a ton of time on centric and other sites for the data and pricing.
thought it might help others out too so I figured id post.
I had no problems with the lines.. I even used the stock bracket location. I twisted the line the right way, so they could fit right. I guess I could see how somebody may have a problem. But again, mine fit perfect.. I am sorry to hear about the problem.
hell yeah, good news! so the spokes cleared the CTSV calipers up front?
anyone else with experience with 18x10.5 +56 clearing these brakes please post up!

well I think I finally reached the end of my braking ordeal.
14" 5th Gen Stoptech Cryogenic frozen rotors, with center bore machined out to 70.6mm for 4th gen hub
Gen 1 CTS-V Brembo 4 Piston Calipers
Hawk HP+ Pads
Kore3 Stainless and coated lines
Huge difference over stock
well after fitting the brakes and after all my research the new brakes wouldn't clear my wheels (AR Rebels 18x9 +25). diameter had about .1" clearance which I was fine with, but the fat lip and the +25 offset, the spokes wouldn't clear the new huge calipers. enough spacer to clear the calipers made the tires stick out 2".
So I had no choice but new wheels. cheapest wheels with the specs I needed were these Black Chrome C6 Spyder wheels. 18x9.5 +40 offset.
after getting the wheels in and test fitting them, I took them in to get my old tires transferred to these wheels. well they were so dry rotted the beads were just ripping as they tried to get them off the old wheels. (date stamp on tires was 2008) so I had no choice but to order tires. this "cheap" big brake upgrade was adding up now.
figured I may as well go with something sticky, but wanted to still keep street stock legal (200 min tread wear) so I went with the Hankook Ventus R-S3 V2 tires. 285/35/18 Lots of great track reviews especially for there price. there as wide as my old BFG 295s
finished up.
bedding in test drive showed a lot of promise. I think I may need harness's now...
car will see 10 times more track time than street miles. anxious to see how they do. head to TWS next weekend.
I ran HP+ on my stock setup for 10 years without a single squeal.
new ones don't squeal yet either. I do have a tiny squeal after all this, but its actually the passenger rear. which is weird cause all I did was bleed the rears.

really? I've ran HP+ on 4 of my cars and all of them were pretty loud under slow breaking.
Has anyone had this issue ? ive got my setup and it seems like the ebc yellow stuff pads for a cts-v don't fit on the z06 rotor. its only on the inner pads but the outers just barley make it. I used the part number from this write up for the rotors.
any ideas?
Hey, ive been following this thread for about a year now. Back then it was generally accepted that the 4 piston was the better option because the rotors werent big enough for the 6 piston. But now i see a bunch of people putting the 6 piston on with the ss rotors. So are the 6 piston a viable option now?
6 Pistons will require spindles to be drilled out for larger 14mm bolts(vs stock and 4 piston 12mm)
also will require washers to center calipers on rotor (designed for 34mm rotors vs 32mm fbody rotors)
5th gen rotors best for both. pads will overhang on C6Z rotors.

But do the 6 piston perform any better then the 4 piston ones?
