They are the same caliper, or at the very least they are very very similar. I didn't take a picture but I have compared both side by side. The reason for fitting in 17" wheels has nothing to do with the caliper it is solely due to the fact that the rotor is over an inch smaller than the 14" rotors on the V and 5th gen Camaro.

The caliper sticks out further radially from the hub than the wheel so it is typically the caliper that hits the inside of the wheel, not the rotor. I'm not talking about the clearance between the caliper and the wheel spokes. That will vary by wheel offset and design.

But I see what you're saying. The ATS calipers were designed for a smaller rotor so the flange on them is different than the flange on the CTV calipers. that flange difference would mount the caliper closer to centerline of the hub and increase clearance. I'm definitely going to look into these because I don't want to go to 18" wheels.

Any other info or pics you have from this swap would be greatly appreciated!

I talked to the guy who posted the ATS brakes. He said he will be installing soon. He is using C5 rotors, 15mm spacer, 18" wheels, and he mentioned the stock ATS brake lines. I asked him to post up when he installs everything.

How much do we know about the 6 piston Brembos off of the CTSV2? Do they require the same/similar offset to clear? Do they also use c6 z06 rotors 14"? Do they bolt to factory mounting holes on the 98-02 spindles?

There are some good posts about them. They bolt up but the mounting holes need opened a little. I don't think there is any way they would clear 17" rims. Yea, 14" rotors work.

Do they use the same brake lines? That sucks the mounting holes need to be modified, I'd be too afraid to mess with that myself.

opening them up is pretty simple, on the spindle the holes just need to be opened a couple mm. it could be done with a drill or done pretty cheap my any machine shop.

Smile ATS Brembo update

Ok so I insalled the cadillac ATS Brembos and it looks pretty good only issue i have is that the pads hit par of the corvette rotor hats so i had to grind down the pads on that side. I'm looking for rotors that have about 1/2 inch more disc on the hat side you can see where the paint came off. but for now it works and have much more stopping power, and that even before they are bedded in.

Stock Camaro flex lines fit on the calipers a charm, will most likely order braided lines eventually. needed 2.8 mm of shims to center the calipers.

A bit of paint and elbow grease

Looks awesome! So your saying a 13.1" rotor is needed? I think C5 are 12.6

Looks great! Are they 18's or 17's? If 18's, do you have a set of 17s you can try and report back?

Here is a picture of my 18x9.5 c6 z06 spyder wheels ordered from oewheels for the purpose of fitting these calipers. They have a 40mm offset and a gigantic amount of room for the stock calipers.

Here is my set up.. 2010 Camaro discs.. 18s magnesium vette rims, needed 20 mm eibach bolt in spacers. Because the offset of these rims are 60 mm...

However, I think the set up looks sick, each rim weights only 19 lbs... And they fit perfect now.. I just called Kor, for the break line kit... It was a easy install.

This seems pretty straight forward if wheel clearance isn't an issue

@Stage are you running the 04-07 CTS-V calipers with the 2010 camaro rotors?

Here you go.. Yeah 04-07. I paid 350$ or so, for both, with brake pads and pins, all new. Don't waste your time, buying used.. I also bought stop tech rotors, 130 a piece, I think they had a sale on the Cryo ones when I bought...

About 600 bucks. It was the rims and tires, what was the hassle. These are rare rims.. But can be found. I used 20mm bolt in eibach s-10 spacers all around, perfect fit.

These rims have an off set of 60 mm, because it was meant for the euro market. But after the bolt in spacer, they made the wheels and tires fit perfect. The wheels and tires fit, exactly the same as on my 97 Lt4 Camaro. Exact; same distance from the lip of the fender wells, to the the tire.

Also, the bolt in spacer, holds the Camaro disc in place.. Big plus. When I get a rear end, I will just order a longer one, from stock.

These rims are never coming off the car.

Guys I have a question. There's a pair on eBay with a pin kit and a pair of powerstop evolution pads. I want to get this kit but my question is will these pads (meant for the 04-07 ctsv) fit the z06 rotors I will be getting as per this guide? I know you should buy pads and rotors together but this is a good package deal and I'd like to use these pads. I can message the guy and ask him to take off the pads but he's including them for an extra $40 so its a good deal.

Um... Dont use the z06 discs... Use the 2010 camaro discs instead... Also, yes the pads will fit, because I used the same ones... The vette disc, need to be shimmed, and the contact area is not 100% correct.
