What to set the Wilwood prop valve at?
Hey guys, I resently installed the SJM ABS delete. I'm just curious what everybody is setting the prop valve to (# of turns).
I was thinking that 70% front/30% rear is good, so I was just going to count the total number of turns in the valve, then multiply by 0.3. But if there is better experiance or theory, I would appreciate it.

The valve does nothing at all for the front brakes. All it does is limit the amount of fluid to the rears. What I did was see if it nose dived. If so put more in it. If you feel the rear wanting to lock up take some out. Mine is 80% turned for more. Your front is what it is. Hope this helps.

Yeah it does help. I knew the valve only controlled the rear brakes, but my logic to figuring out how to set it was waaay off. The 80% number does help, it will give me a good starting point and I will fine tunre from there

I actually called willwood and asked them... They said pretty much to do what 03 Busa said as there is no set turn as each car is different.
I turned it all over the place to only find out I had a leaky axle seal leaking all over my rear rotor so that was causing my rear brake to fail.
