Default Subframe connectors and shocks

I'm looking to replace the factory shocks (75000 miles). Car sees no racing and is driven ~90 miles per day commuting. I'd like a substantial increase in handling at all speeds, but I do not need to get into adjustable shocks I don't think. I am not looking to change ride height as I already have poor clearance from my texas-speed catted Y-pipe.

Also, I have been encouraged to get sub-frame connectors. Can anyone recommend an item they have been successful with? Welding is not an issue and there are just too many to choose from.

Thanks for any advice.

I have the Spohn weld in subframe connectors and really like them. They tuck right up to the floor board so you can't even tell that they're on there unless you get under the car and look for them (no loss in ground clearance). They don't tie into one in other, in the center of the car though, as do some brands.

As for handling, if you're talking about curves and what not, might try a STB. I noticed a nice difference in body roll of the front end when I put mine on.

I have BMR tubular SFCs and Bilstein HDs with the stock springs and both were a big improvement. I also have a STB but only felt a slight improvement with it but that was after the other 2.

Hello, we have two different styles of connectors for your car. Our strongest set is the boxed style. they are made from 2' x 2" .120 wall dom steel with laser cut mounting plates. Your ground clearance will not sacrificed and this set reinforces your lower control arm mounting point. The other set is our tubular set. They are designed from 1 5/8" dom .120 wall steel round tubing. These bars tuck up a little tighter but are not as strong as the boxed version. As far as shocks go we offer the Tokico Hp series. The have increased low speed dampning and work well with a car that has lowering springs . We have all of the parts in stock and ready to ship. If you have any questions please let me know.

Strano Spec bilstein shocks are what you want.

SFCs aren't needed but any will work.

BMR's tubular design is what I have on my car and I love them. On the shock side I went with KYBs but they are adjustable. If you are looking for non adjustable I would go with the Bilstein shocks Or the Bilstein HD

I couldn't agree more with that. But I say, do the shocks first and then decide if you still want SFC's. SFC's transmit a tremendous amount of impact harshness into the cabin. Probably my least favorite mod.

I have Global west weld in Sub connectors and as far as I know they are the only subs that are designed to also be used as a jacking point along thier whole legth-yes you can use them to jack up each side of the car ! Tokico blue shocks Summit springs love it.

call up strano and talk to him about it, he will get you set up right.

also, a STB does just about nothing, it definitely won't reduce body roll, that is delusional
