Default Camaro's with 17's! Wat kind of drop? Help please

Hey guys I have an 02 z28 and recently put 17" c5 z06 wheels on it and most of yall know wat it looks like, a camaro with a lift kit. I just wanted to get some opinions of other drivers with 17's and what kind of lowering springs are best! PICS plz.

P.S. I have my Pacesetter LT's and ORY going to be installed and just some more info to consider because i know some lowering springs go lower than said and make the y-pipe scrape.

Thanks guys!

I have BMR lowering springs with LT headers and ORY. I do scape alot but love the look so I deal with it. The ride is really good with them IMO. Here is a side shot to see how low it is.

I have Strano Springs and no LT or ORY, and 17" rims. It dropped it 1 1/4 in front and 1 3/8 in back. Ride is great and I think the stance is great but judge for yourself.
Sorry the pic is small. I was having issues with getting it pasted into the posting.

You know I always wondered if stock LT-1 springs would be a good choice for a minor lowering without affecting ride all that much. It seems to me, and I could be 100% wrong on this, that the stock LT1's were lower than the LS1's. I haven't really looked into this so if someone's feeling frisky, or already knows the answer, please post up.

i remember my first post!!

kind of a generalization. ive ridden in plenty of lowered cars that feel great because they bought the right equipment and installed it correctly. of course if you cut coils and leave the stock decarbons on there you shouldnt expect much. so not really a fair statement to say that

but to the op, get in touch with sam strano and explain the situation to him. hell set you up.

You asked for pics so here are a bunch, hope they help you decide

It's lowered on Strano's with Koni DA's in the front and KYB AGX's in the back, rims are 17x9.5 TTII's. Every now and then I scrape the SLP Y-pipe on unusually large speedbumps but it's not too bad if I'm carefull. Overall I love my Strano springs, handles and rides sooooo much better.

^LOL yeah it was pretty dirty last time you saw it, I just got my BMR LCA's with neoprene bushings installed a couple days ago so it rides even better now.

Don't go any lower then you have to. The ride get's rougher and you scrape everything. Speaking from experience. My car is lowered on Eibach springs. I don't know exactly how much lower it sits but I scrape every time I leave my driveway.

You are absolutely correct. Stock LS1 cars sit significantly higher than stock LT1 cars at both ends.

I personally know of a local LS1 car owner that has installed LT1 springs on his car. The springs actually came from my car.

He was quite pleased with the improved appearance and no loss of ride quality.
