Default Installing SFC's...How do you get the LCA bolt out?

Any ideas short of cutting it? I undid the nut and it should just slide out, but Ive tried tapping on it, turning the bolt with a wrench and it just spins. Anyone have this problem?

yeah, that was my first thought, but there really is no room to hit it with a hammer.

It might work if you put a punch or something on the bolt and hit it that way. You can always just pull out the cut off wheel lol

I pried on my LCAs with a screwdriver against the subframe to get the pressure off the bolt and it slid right out.

He's Right! If needed spray the bolt with something like liquid wrench and get the stress off of the bolt! It should slide right out.
Thanks
Brad

When I did mine it took so long I nearly gave up...but I ended up buying a air hammer and a air cutting tool which helped get the rusted bolts out!

I'm surprised at the number of people that have issues with removing the LCA bolts. All I did rest the body on jack stands and they slid right out. I'm happy that GM engineers designed the rocker panel with that small cutout to make removing these bolts possible.

That was so they could assemble it...they could care less about us removing it

Do you have your windows tinted? I think I've seen you on I-84 before when I'm going home from work. I take 91 south across 291 to 84 up to mass every day, I'm usually on 84 around 10 past 5, and around the state line at like 5:30-5:40...my car is a pewter 2000 Z28 on all black ZO6's.
