rear end binding is when your rear twist but has no articulation in the LCA.
example. if you hav a stand poly bushing lca. like this they have a tendency to bind when one side of the rear end come up or down and the other side doesnt. so if you go straight(drag race) these are great.

now i believe the best LCA are from 6litereater. look like this. style JJ. they have around 28 degrees of articlution. so binding will never be a problem. and they will last forever

PM me if you have anymore questions

Hello,

Binding in the control arm is when the suspension can not articulate correctly do to being held up. Stiff or solid bushings can cause this since they do not allow the suspension to articulate correct, this then puts pressure on the control arm mounts and could cause erratic handling. On a daily driver your car will not be pushed to the limits where I feel binding is a concern therefor I recommend controls with poly ends on each end. These control arms are inexpensive, virtually maintenance free while offering a quiet comfortable ride. If the car is exposed to auto cross or road race then I recommend something with more articulation.

Hope that helps!
Ryan

If you are experience any traction issues or wheel hop issues I suggest them as one of the first places to start and first mod. They work good for helping to eliminate wheel hop.

I have UMI non-adj LCA's, LCA relocation brackets, and non-adj PHB on my LT1 Camaro, and love them. Definately a great investment. They're cheap, and give a little piece of mind, when thinking about your rear-end, on DR's. Eliminating axle hop, greatly decreases your chance of breaking a 10-bolt. I loved them so much, that I just picked up some more for my T/A last week. Now, I just need to find the time to put them on.

Unless you always burn your tires out and have wheel hop issues, I wouldn't bother. 99% of the time your just going from point a to point b. Then what.. race from a roll or a stop? From a roll I'd say waste of money. How good can these other guys possibly be that you match up against where changing LCA's would have that much of a significant effect on making you faster? I just look at modifications different from most people I guess. I only add something if the money paid warrants a big enough improvement for my driving/racing application. But that's just me.

If you insist on getting LCA's.. for your application I wouldn't worry about the poly bind issue. I'd probably go with poly poly.
