can someone out there if i did something wrong.i also have BMR springs.love them
my fronts were so rusted together i didnt bother with them,so i got a new set of org 1le
koni's.my question is that when i put the fronts together i didnt compress the spring.i just
tighten'd the nut down as far as i could on the piston.it compressed the spring a lttle.but
did i screw up by this and do i have to pull them back out again?

You did them wrong, so go back and do it right, compress the spring and tighten down them down w/o the stress of the spring pushing against it.

Don't cut corners.

there is nothing wrong with doing it that way if you used an impact gun.

Well that is right after the car was lowered, so it hasn't even had time to settle yet. Sorry the pics suck and for the car being dirty. It has been raining here in Oklahoma non-stop for almost a week now. So no time to wash the car or take good pics. The car now feels very stiff, and handles a lot better than stock! The stance of the car is great! If your looking for a slammed look, these are not for you. If you have LT's, and just want a good stance, then these springs might be what you're looking for! I had measurements of the height, but i have seemed to have lost them. But I did measure the wheels gap as well with my fingers. I had a four finger wheel gap before the springs, on every corner. I know only have a two finger gap!
The clearence is just perfect, my LT's are tucked up there pretty good, so if anything was to scrape it would be the ORY.

Feel free to ask questions!
I was looking into getting some springs and like you I don't want my car slammed. After seeing your before and after pics I see BMR springs in my future.

I so don't recommend doing it this way. It's too easy to strip the nut or the shock shaft or "spin" the shock shaft which is never a good thing. Instead I recommend using a spring compressor to take the load of the nut and tighten the nut to factory torque specs.

looks good. This helps make up my mind as to which springs to buy. I was leaning towards BMR anyway but this settles it, glad you like them.

Man, all these pics are teasing me so much. I'm at college right now, cars at home along w/ the BMR springs sitting in the box. I don't think I can wait until thanksgiving to get the car and swap the springs if these threads keep coming up haha.
