Default Put OEM C6 wheels on my car, and now my ABS keeps kicking in.

So I put some OEM 18/19 C6 wheels on my '99 WS6. I used the 1.25" adapters in the rear. Now, every time I brake, I can feel my ABS kick in, and it makes it difficult to brake. I have the stock brake setup and stock suspension. What can I do to fix this problem?

What is the tire size? The overall diameter needs to be within 1/2 inch or it will trigger the ABS. I have OEM with 295/30 rear and 275/35 front with no issues.

There's your problem: the 18s are 25.3 and the 19s are 26.1

Go to a 275/30/19 which would make the rears 25.5" tall...however, the ride will be VERY rough! That's the main reason I ended up ditching my C6's and went back down to 18's all the way around w/275/35/18's.

Would a simple reflash of the ECU to calibrate the tire size / speedometer make this problem go away?

Not every car has issues with the difference in OD.

IMO the easiest solution is get on ebay and pick you up a pair of used 275/35/18s. They are one of the most common 18's, you can find a pair with 60-70% tread left for under $100 shipped almost any day.

but would 275's even fit on 18x8.5's? I thought 265 was pushing it...

I have Pirelli P-zero Rosso's on.

Yes, my "ABS Inop" light comes on, and does my "TCS off" light. Also, every now and then when I first start up my car and take off, my "Low Trac" light will come on and REALLY screw up my braking until my abs light comes on.

I think they ARE 18x8.5 They are '09 C6 wheels, not Z06. They are the split spoke 18x8.5 and 19x10 i believe.

spaulsen's car is a 98 which had a unique ABS system vs. later years. photoman9988, what year is your car?

Looking at the pirellis, if you replace the fronts with 255 40s you'll be within .2 and will not trip the ABS.
