Default UMI torque arm

I might be going with a umi tunnel mount torque arm. Mainly cause I don't want it on the trans and don't want to spend almost 500 for a torque arm and relocation bracket. but my main question is i'm gonna get a umi 3pt subframes. And wanted to know if the tunnel mount torque arm would work since they bolt to the same mount as the subframe connectors.

Hello,

Thanks for the interest in UMI products

Yes they are designed to work together. The 3-Point SFC's are designed to bolt under the torque arm mount. With this all the stress the torque arm causes is applied to the SFC's rather than the floor of the car. This is an excellent bullet proof set-up.

If I can help anymore please ask. Thank you!

Ok thanks for info but after reading abit I will probably just go with the torque arm relocation bracket and run that way. but if I went that way can I use the tunnel support that spohn makes or will the torque arm interfere with that?

Sounds great. Yes the torque arm relocation kit will with aftermarket tunnel braces. We also offer a tunnel brace if you are interested, its not on the site but I can get you some information.

Thanks!

I'm looking for the future not sure yet. Honestly though i love your products the way they look and never heard anything bad about them. but maybe just a word of advice for you. I'm gonna split between yours, bmr and spohn for this reason. May seem remedial to you but it makes sense to me. Your torque arm, sfc's etc are all nice and tubular but then your tunnel brace and torque arm relocation bracket are square tubing. It just don't flow right to have nice tubular things underneath then mix it up with boxed parts. Just some criticizm. If your stuff was all tubular i'd go with UMI all the way.

Thanks for the reply

Is there any reason why all your suspension pieces need to be round tubular steel?

The reason we choose rectangular tubing on the relocation kit is for ground clearance issues on particular vehicles. Rectangular tubing allows smaller diameter one way and larger the other, this way no strength is sacrificed. This allows us to tuck the relocation kit up tighter and does not reduce ground clearance like some of out competitors designs.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

I figured there was a reason for you making it that way. I'm not saying it's bad or anything. I don't know I might end up needing the square design when I come down to doing it all. I just like the flow and smooth look of all tubular. Just me being **** i guess lol.
