Question Eibach ProKit?????

Well i dont know a lot about suspension but i recently bought an Eibach ProKit of a guy who says only used them for 15k miles, i thought it was a good deal since it was only $50 bucks. He said it lowered the car 1.5" in the front, 1.3" in the rear. Is that correct for a ProKit? Im also a little hesitant to put them on since the drop is uneven, im thinking it might look funny. If anyone has some pics of their car with that drop can you please post them up? It would help a lot with my descision.

Thanks!

I don't think so, I'm pretty sure it's a 1.2" drop in front and back.

Is your car an LS1 or an LT1? Eibach made different springs for the different cars, due to the weight difference of the two engines. If you have the correct springs for your car, it won't be an issue.

He had it on a 98 and mines is a 99, both Trans Ams. I was looking at Eibach's website and it does say 1.2" in both front and back. Thats why i was confused.

yes, its "advertised" 1.2" drop, but when i installed mine a few years back, i remembered more like a 1 3/4" drop. mine were new, for the ls1 cars. my car is a 98.

Yeah i checked and it is suppose to be a 1.2" drop. I guess the guy who sold them to me thought it was more.. By the way the part numbers are 3870.001 and 3870.002. I checked another thread and a guy who spoke with Eibach said this was the correct numbers for 98-02 f-body's.

I had pro-kits on my car for years and they sag horribly in the rear after a year or 2 for some reason.

I would say any type of adjustable shock would work well for you! For handling purposes Konis, Bilsteins, and for the Drag Strip QA1's or Strange's would work as well. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks

Those are 17" wheels right?

About what I figured, a bit lower - But, not too low.

I just want to get rid of my massive fender to tire gap.

I seem to recall that it was with just the LS1 kits. I've had the ProKit springs on my '96 Z-28 since January of 1996. The car is still perfectly level, front to rear, side to side.

With respect to shocks, I used the OE DeCarbons for about 4 years (they rode terribly, but I was a little short on cash for a while) then put a set of the SLP Bilsteins on it.

I`m not shure if is me or my shocks but I have had the Eibach prokit with Bilstine shocks the ones re-valved by SLP for almost 2 seasons now I`m finding them to ride a little rough ?? Anyone else with this setup ?? I`m planning on swaping the Bilstines out for Koni SA`s next season .
