Will they work? Yes. At this point though I'd recommend you look at getting a set of SLP's from me while they are on sale. It's a hell of a deal and the valving is pretty much the same.

Ideally I'd prefer folks on Koni, I did the setup on a set of Koni's and I run them at a setting firmer than what Bilstein's have to offer. That said, not everyone wants things are firm as I do and the Bilstein's will damp the springs--just not forever and most who like to drive *ahem* spiritedly prefer more control.

I do a lot of Bilstein as the second choice to Koni. AGX's are third in line.

I've been running Strano springs on my stock shocks for a couple years now. The ride quality actually improved and it handles really well for the suspension mods that it has. My shocks aren't worn out though since the car only has 18k on it but with some seasoned stock shocks I would definetly put some new shocks on the list. My dad has a GTO that we did full suspension to and the shocks made a HUGE difference alone in handling/control etc. etc.

If your looking for more of a drag oriented setup I would forget about lowering springs. Although they work decently well for me at the track it certainly isn't the "optimal" setup and I plan to ditch them very soon. I would then suggest something like Strange/QA1/Afco drag shocks with a drag spring upfront and drag shocks out back with cut stock springs.

Ahhh...

Well, the SLP sale is officially over. And it's about 3 weeks until SLP gets more shocks in stock. But I still have them for $399/set plus shipping and you can backorder if you want for immediate shipment when they arrive.

Posts like this always baffle me. You can justify spending the money for things like new wheels and tires or a new hood, yet you can't justify spending less money than that to have the car driving/riding/handling dramatically better than ever before? The Koni/strano setup seems like a bargain for the difference it makes compared to other mods (suspension or engine) in the way the car drives.

It's hard to convince someone how much fun suspension mods are until they've experienced it.

You said it..... But when someone does experience it, like myself, JD, and an number of others, we are adamant about the difference because it's so massive.

All one has to do it search. Customers of mine will often post things "it's completely different", so on and so forth. Frankly it's the ride and handling equivalent to adding 100 hp vs. adding just a lid.
