Default Install of QA1s

Well plans of changed with my car. I wasnt going to make it a drag car but I just found out We made it on a Pinks All Out.

I wanted to do a Koni/strano set up to lower the car and kinda all around set up. But Now I plan on running skinnies up front soo the car wont corner now at all.

So for racing pretty much now..Would Konis still work?

I havent made any plans on what Im geting but just wondering how hard it is to install QA1s

Hello
I was just curious on what QA1 set up you were getting? Are you getting a coil-over set up or just the adjustable shocks? Below is a link to show you what all UMI Performance has to offer!

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
Thanks

The Coil Over "R" is what I want for the front. What would u suggest for the rear and what spring?

I'm running the "R's" on the front and rear. Fronts are coilovers with 275 lb springs and rears are stock V6 springs. With the rears set on 6 and the fronts on 0 and 1 (launches a little crooked) that thing squats and leaves HARD!

Installing them is just like installing regular shocks/struts nothing different.

Which Pinks All Out did you make it on? The one at HPT?

OK the R series is a Race application only they are valved for the 275lb spring. I just figured I would leave you know that so if you were planning on driving on the street you might not like the ride quality being soft. And I would suggest going with the stock rear spring with a good adjustable rear shock. If you like the lowered look go with the heater hose mod. But if you stay with the factory spring you shouldn't have any clearance issues even if you have or going to have a aftermarket rear end. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
Thanks

I had the Koni sports on my car hence the 1LE. The fronts aren't the best for drag racing , but its mainly the stiff front springs that are the problem. The rear Koni shocks actualy work good. As stated above the stock rear springs are what most people use. I have the 1le springs which are progessive, I'm going to go with a V6 or stock Z-28 spring.

I thought 275 springs were to light unless you were pretty light race weight (sub 3300?)

That's what I was told on multiple occasions, but I run them and know of quite a few others who do also with no problems on the street.

How do you know you made it already? I've been trying to get registered for it and they said they won't start taking registrations until Feb 8th.
