The 10-bolt has it's own specific spring set, can't use the 400 or 800's used in other rear ends (they are just too big). I seem to recall the 10-bolt springs to be around 300's. We are just using an off the shelf unit, not much able to be tweaked in them....

Sam doesn't race the Camaro anymore because he uses his 07 Ford Shelby Mustang!

*Seen your name appear in one of the SCCA lists .

That's true, I have been racing a Mustang for a while now. Thank GM for not having a pony-car since '02 and the new car for being super heavy...... I still own and drive my Camaro, and will be doing more track days with it this year. But I still do autox it, I ran it a few times last year locally....

What can I say? I like 3400-3500 solid axle pony-cars.... Ford is making one, GM isn't.

Aren't they (Shelby) closer to 3,800lbs? Assuming you'd be running it without weight reduction.

Well, it's not f-body relevant, so I'll keep it short. I compete in a Shelby GT, not a GT500. The one I drive is a Mustang GT with springs, bars, intake, STB---no supercharger, no Brembo's, etc. Different cars. The one we use turns...

What? Solid axle cars can't be made to handle...I learned that the first day I was on the internet.

I agree, Sam should buy a Corvette and save the Camaro for drag racing

Two different types of racing, two different types of skills.

Sam,

I saw in your post earlier you are testing new shocks. Can you talk about them? Are they still Koni's but a different kind?

I have picked up AST dampers. I have a set on the car I'm autoxing. These are very serious shocks above and beyond a Koni Sport. Currently no fitment for the front of a 4th Gen F-body.

Does that mean there won't be a new Camaro in your stable in the future? We all appreciate your input and your willingness to deal with the uninformed or negative f*cks on this site. That said I, for one, would love to see what you can do with a irs ls engined car like the new Camaro.
