Thumbs up STB - noticeable difference??

I finally got to drive my car after putting in my SLP STB - its been snowing like a bastard here for the past week and a half! I was skeptical that it would make a noticeable difference in stiffness, but I think it did! But I have been driving a big-tired Wrangler that sways in the wind for the past 10 days straight, so anything would feel tighter right now. Anybody else actualy notice a difference with the STB?

I thought it removed some cowl shake from the front of my car. The steering wheel no longer wants to jump around over railroad tracks and such. WIll it help lap times, hard to say, would I do it again....absolutely.

It looks different

But seriously, for the ease of install, and the realtively inexpensive cost, it is a popular mod.

I'm sure it helps a bit when coupled with other suspension mods.

My front end seemed to be more stiff in turns after I put mine in. Not a big differnence but it was noticable enough for me.

I noticed better handling in turns and while taking curves at speed after installing my BMR STB.. As far as anything else being better, I really can't say....

Oh yes ... huge difference.

Better steering response, better braking, beter acceleration, better gas mileage, I was able to leap tall buildings in a single bound and the St. Louis rams called me wanting me to start at QB. Hell, it's even better than staying at a Holiday Inn Express!

And when you are done washing the car, it makes a nifty towel rack!

On my convertible it changed that "woggle, woggle"
on every hard corner to "woggle". That's worth 80 bucks,
used, and the proper color to boot. I have the Hotchkiss.

Yes, a noticable improvement in steering response and "feel", and it can only assist in keeping suspension geometry stationary under load, with no drawbacks except maybe the few pounds of weight...

But, do I have to remove the towels before driving the car or can I blow dry them at speed?

This is the one place (one of the places?) where Mitch and I agree to disagree.

Well, its snowing again so I cant do anymore research...unless I can check the structural rigidity while spinning out in the driveway. And I will be sure to try out the towel rack idea once it gets above freezing again.

I just feel a bit more solid feel only when turning hard enough to make the tires squeal

Is it worth the extra $$ if your setting up for a 9 sec car?

IMO It is just added weight. Mine is sitting on the floor in my garage. It is pretty though.
