can i use any lowering springs on a convertible?
i have a 98 camaro convertible on new blue tokikos and thinking about lowering it. A friend is selling me his eibach sportline springs with a 1.75 drop in rear and 1.5 in da front. i know that some springs exclude convertibles so i want to no if anything would happen if i use them. or which ones do you guys recommend?

IMO, get some weld in SFC's for convertibles, and if you really want it that low at least make sure their the LS1 Sportline springs, not the LT1 Sportline springs. the LT1 Sportlines have a spring rate that's just too low for the amount of drop the Sportline give. Also if ride quality really matters to you, you might want to look at lowering springs with less drop.

Ya you can lower it just the same I'd use diff springs tho. The top shock access point is just diff on our convertibles but much easier to access for adj shocks once installed. Our cars are a bit heavier in the rear do to the added reinforcement so I'd look for a better spring. got koni sa/strano here.

thanks everyone for the input it helped alot. I bought the sportline and il see how it goes, but im just hoping it doesnt ride to rough. I saw most other springs just lower one inch but the body already sits about 3 to 4 inches from the tire and dont think one inch with make that much difference. Il post up to see how it goes and thanks again.
