Need Help ASAP! Horrible noise coming from rear end
Hey guys. Here's the deal. I just added a '00 B4C Camaro to the stable. The car is completely stock and shows 130k on the clock. Everything about this car is great shape except this crazy rattling/shaking sound thats coming from the rear right side somewhere in the area of the right rear tire. It doesn't happen any other time except for when I brake. During normal driveability it seems to drive fine. When I begin coming to a stop I can hear and feel violent rattling/shaking coming from that one side, it almost feels as if whatever is moving is doing so in an up and down motion. Or if I go over a speed bump to hard by accident it will shake violently. It also feels like when I get up to speed the rear is "loose", in otherwords not in correlation with the front of the car for a few seconds and then it evens out. Sort of like the rear of the car wonders a bit before it gets straight.
I was going to be doing this repair myself but wanted to know where to begin. I was thinking rear Lower Control Arm? I don't know much about suspension diagnosis & repair but I just can't think of anything other than the LCA that could create this problem. I was thinking of purchasing a LCA Bushing kit but wanted to hear a few opinions first. TIA!
