Post HELP PLS! ABS Problem, almost crashed..... SOS MAYDAY

I recently installed new wheels and tires 18x8.5ft w/255's & 10.5rr w/335's. When attempting to stop I feel the ABS engage but the light doesnt come on, and car's slowing as if in a controlled skid on wet pavement. But the grounds dry. Almost crashed it the other day. Had brake pedal on floor trying to stop from a high speed sparing victory on street. Can anyone help me to fix??? Cant find and threads w/remedy. I heard it may be the stagged set up?

i would do a ABS delete kit. the staggered setup is probably the cause of the issue.

or get tires that are closer in diameter, and keep the ABS.

Anytime you do not retain the overall tire diameter, you will create braking issues. Even if you're only .5" variance (even though the ABS lamp may not illuminate and you think you’re fine), your ABS is does not know you've made a change so it will be reacting to incorrect data seen. Your brakes will not perform and stop as well as they did from the factory setup.

Think of it like taking a new cam, installing it in your car and expecting your stock engine computer program to compensate for the changes...

You need to consider either dealing with it, change to a tire configuration that has the same overall diameters or remove your ABS system and not look back. You'll no longer be handicapped by choosing combinations you want to run. With our ABS delete kits, you'll also be able to re-bias your brakes too...something you could not do with the stock configuration.

10% tire diameter difference will **** off the F-body
ABS. 5% seems to be no problem.
