?? for SpringTech lowering spring owners....
Keep in mind I have an extra 100lbs or so in the rear trunk well of stereo stuff, and I currently have a full tank of gas....
when Im driveing by myself its not bad.... but when I get a passenger or 2 it rubs the rear pass side 1/4 lip.
I was going to roll the fender but dont wanna cause any dents or paint cracks so that is going to be my last option.
Has anyone done the heater hose mod, maybe on both ends of the spring??
heres a quick pic.... is yours that low??
I don't think your car sits as low as mine,,, what springs you running? Do you have any weight in the trunk well?
I think my issue is a combination of these cheaper (very low) rear springs and the added weight of my stereo. It has to be,,, 'cause on here ppl with lowering springs remove there rear isolators to level their cars,, If I did that it would be sitting on the ground. My rear is already sitting 1/4" lower then my front,,, with the isolators in the back.
And yes, your car is VERY low, which probably is causing some unique issues....
The problem is you rub on the outer passenger fender, right? If your rear end shifted due to the suspension geometry of a PHB setup, then an adjustable one could shift the rear end a little to the left. Of course then you could potentially rub on inner fender.. which means BFH time. How big are those tires back there?
Of course, using the wheel well to determine if the rear end is centered is probably not ideal. If its not centered correctly with the front wheels then you might not be driving straight..

I seem to think the camaro dont get as low as the firebirds do,, that combined with the brand of springs, extra stereo wheight, full of gas and 2 or 3 large ppl in the car it would slightly rub.
It seems to be fixed now I think.... after my CETA mod is dry ill be test drivieng it again.
