Default has anyone tried this to raise the rear?

I want to gain 3/4 to an inch of height back to the rear. I still have the stock isolators, but has anyone tried adding a spacer in between the isolator and the car body? I was thinking of something like this

Been searching for hours and keep finding dead ends. If anyone has an experience with this please post up!

More clearance for my dumped set up, and for the looks. I like my new springs, but the 1.5" drop is more than I wanted in the back. I know I can pick up some rear springs for around $100 but i'd rather work with what I have and save some money.

Global West Has some aluminum 3/4" spacers that mount on the bottom of the springs but they'll run you about $50-60 a pair.

Thanks, I might go with those. I wish I could see how they look on the rear end, I'm curious to how secure they will be.

Hey I'll try anything once. Or twice

I have been tossing around an idea I might try for the hell of it this weekend. I was going to cut off a single coil from the top of my stock rear springs, and put that coil inbetween the isolator and car body. It would probably be wrapped in heater hose to prevent any metal to metal contact. Thoughts?

I made it out of an old surfboard signed by Bill Clinton.

If you have any old 3/4"-1" thick rubber mats you could cut some big donuts about the same diameter or a little bit larger then the factory upper isolators. Then place them above the factory isolators.

Those look awesome !! I looked for a while to find something for my sportline setup because the rears needed 1/2 an inch. I found a guy online that made aluminum ones that had the raised inner part to keep the spring centered but these look better.

You could add heater hose to the bottom coil and the top and reuse the stock rubber isolator on top to giv you about 1/2 inch

Damn, these may solve my problem. Do these fit over the factory nipple thing on our 98-02 F-Body's in the rear where the spring sits on so it stays in place?

Then their little raised inner rim is where the spring will sit after its put in place over the factory nipple?

I might be the guinea pig......

.

I believe they do. Are you going to use these and the stock isolator?

Isolators??

My rear G2 springs just sit on my factory mounts...the nipple things on the frame that look like those Energy Suspension spacers. I do have a couple spacers on there now but the bottom of the spring coil still grabs around the nipple to keep it in place.

Do these Energy Suspension spacers simply go over the factory nipples and just sit up higher to raise the spring, then their inner lip then becomes the new lip for the spring to sit on top of to keep it in place?

Are you talking about the bottom of the spring where it rests on the rear end? These go on the top of the spring where it contacts the body of the car
