Default master cylinder bleeding ?

when you take your master cylinder completely off and it (most likely) has drained completely of fluid is there a special way of bleeding the master? I just cant seem to get near the stopping power after I removed the abs during my engine swap. the pedal is very soft and with a big cam it should be harder to press the brakes all the way to the floor not easier the car has a big brake setup on the front and I could lock um up at like 80 if I slammed on the brakes now I can just barely stop from like 40. I mean my 86 caprice stops 3 times faster

yes I bled the brakes (like 5 times)

side note is it a good sign with a new build if you break a brand new trans mount in 3 pieces the first day you drove a car with a fresh motor? I wondered what the clunking was just assumed it was the suspension twisting up

Bench bleeding a MC

Place MC in a vice and make sure it's level.

Install short lines that attach to the MC output and loop the lines back up and into the reservoir.

Fill reservoir.

Plunge the MC over and over till all the air bubbles from the lines stop.

Don;t take anything apart.

Install MC on booster.

Remove lines and reinstall the factory lines one at a time.
