are KBDDs necessary?
kenny brown double diamond subframe connectors are
expensive
heavy
but look very sturdy and look like theyd help more then "regular" SFCs,
like BMR.
but is there really a difference?
and will they get in the way of long tubes? deep trans pan? aftermarket y pipe?
anyone own more then one set of SFCs on one car or drive a couple fbods and notice a diff?

KBDD stiffens it up for turns as well as straights. The standard ones do nothing for stiffness through turns.
I have them and they don't get in the way of anything.
I have however heard that the SLPs are much stiffer than the KBDDs, but they weigh a little more.

I'm very happy with my KBDD SFCs.It made one hell of a difference. When my car is put up on the rack, the doors open and close just fine and mine is a convertible.
You loose a little clearance under the car though,i scrape a little more going over high speed bumps.

LMAO!
The SLP's are heavier than the KBDD. They have nearly all the same attachment points. If you welded them in, they're probably close to if not the same as KBDD.
With that said.
The KBDD provide great structural rigidity. They are a little over kill. They do add extra weight, but provide a little extra support.
Even after 100's of passes my car is still tight as a drum.
