We also sell a "wonderbar" for the third gens but it is not necesarry for the 4th gen cars (at least for the purpose it was designed for). The third gens benefit from this bar because they have a poorly supported steering gearbox on the sheetmetal frame rail just behind the swaybar mounts. The "wonderbar" provides additional support for the frame rail.

I just put one on, didn't really notice a difference, I put new tires on at the same time, so any difference I might feel will not be able to be attributed to the STB anyway....but... it's red and it looks good...

As soon as I put my STB on I could tell the front end was a bit more predictable in the turns. Also it only takes 10 minutes to round up tools and slap it on. If you put it on and don't think it did enough...its just about the cheepest misstake in time and money you could make on an f-body.

hehe...what i was trying to say was theres no reason not to give it a shot and decide for themselves. It is one of the cheepest mods that can help handling a bit and also makes the enginebay look pretty. Those bars are hollow so the weight of them is pretty minimal. I could mount a stairmaster a bit more often and shed that much weight anyway.

Hello
Everyone is going to have there own opinion on there thoughts of the strut tower brace. But you also have to keep in mind everyone's set up is completely different from one to the other. So you will notice a big difference if you are into corner carving. But if your set up is for straight line performance then to tell the truth you are better off with out it, unless you want the extra support. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
Thanks
Brad

I have the hotchkis STB and i drive in mostly rural areas with lots of cornering and I definitely can tell a difference. Best money I've spent on my car by far.

"The unibody construction of an F-car isn't without its share of flex, and an ideal chassis provides virtually none whatsoever. That's why we grabbed a BMR shock tower brace and a set of subframe connectors to help eliminate it."

I just put one on my car a week or two ago (UMI cromoly) and I can't really tell a difference hitting corners real hard. But it wasn't too expensive, and I want my car to handle the best it possibly can......so on it went. I feel it will be a nice addition to the total suspension package my car will get!

Yet they did not replace the factory shocks, the biggest shortcoming. This alone makes the article and author lose credibility IMO.
Not to mention there is no technical data to back anything up (not even before/after lap times). All the parts were installed at once, so the different feel could be attributed to any of the parts.
I don't know about you, but I think I will listen to the guys that have been racing these cars for years and getting results, rather than sales men that sit behind desks all day...
