2010 SS camaro brembo calipers vs 2004-2007 cts-v calipers?
im looking for a brake upgrade for my 01SS and have noticed that the CTS-V calipers are very hard to get to now, there are a few sets of 2010 SS brake sets on ebay for a reasonable price though. they are both 4 piston brembo calipers, but will the camaro calipers bolt up to the LS1 spindle like the CTS-V calipers will? If they do ill probably pick up a complete set and find a way to adapt the rear calipers and rotors, seems a suitable upgrade!!

prices on the camaro calipers are still reasonable, $307 for all 4 front and rear! im gonna call a dealer tomorrow and see if i can get a technical drawing for both the camaro and cts-v brembos. the camaro rotors are a slightly different pattern but the corvette rotors should work just like with the cts-v rotors.

from what i read in another brake upgrade thread on here. to bolt the '10 Camaro calipers to the spindle you will have to re-drill the bolt hole as the '10 Camaro calipers bolt hole size is 14mm and our cars are 13mm. The Z06 rotors should still work though.
didnt know the '10 Camaro calipers were that cheap!

One of the benifits of putting a 4 piston caliper on a higher volume car. w00t economies of scale!
Now...question. Did you buy the ones with the weights on them? Remember they had that vibration/squeel problem with the first batch.

i dont think they will work with 17" wheels, pretty much the same set up as the cts-v calipers and 14" zo6 rotors. you will still need to space the caliper out to center it on the rotor, i plan on having a couple spacers made instead of using washers, for better stability. as for the bolt size difference, im going to try and use a sleeve in the caliper instead of drilling out the spindle.

Check a couple posts up. The CTS-V calipers bolt on, the 2010SS calipers require drilling the stock spindles out. Stock calipers and CTS-V use 12mm bolts, 2010SS use 14mm.Once you drill out the spindles there is no going back.

Couldn't you use a 2mm sleeve with a 12MM Inner Diameter - 2mm - thus making a 14MM Outter Diameter to act as a bushing in the caliper mount hole on the Camaro Caliper?

Partstaxi.com had the 2007 CTS-v calipers for about $165 a piece. I just ordered mine through them as well as the pin kits. I'm going to run the 5th gen camaro rotors though for better bad contact.
