headers dragging i have an 02 WS6 with SLP longtubes and I had Hotchkis lowering springs, but they drug all the time. I had the car raised back to stock height, but I hate the way it looks. does anyone know of a spring/shock combo that would lower the car some, but keep the headers off the ground?
Hey mcfly, getting ready to lower mine with a pro-kit and have TTS LT's. Just wondering if you had any scraping with yours.
Sorry to hijack qwiksilver, but I also have heard that the SLP will scrape with just about any springs. sorry man

hey 1fastWS6 do you or anyone else have pics of the clearance that you have from your headers to the ground? Because I am debating between long tubes and mid lengths for clearance reasons because I want to lower a little more but also want to maximize the amount of power I can get out of my motor?

My Kooks headers/ypipe are invisible under my car. I have had 2 sets of kooks - 1 3/4 straight and now I have 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 and have never had problems scraping with my BMR springs. The lowest part of my undercarriage is the DSL. You can't even see the headers/ypipe below my SLP subframes.
As far as the SLPs - they just hang way way to low to leave them on and lower your car. I hate to say it, but its true.

thanks for all of the information. as you can expect i just spent a pretty penny on these headers, so i am going to have to keep them for the time being. i plan on dropping in a stroker later (haven't decided on which). what would be a good header for the inches and the drop?

I also have the LT SLP's and don't have any issues. I went with the BMR springs (1" drop) and Bilstein HD's all the way around. Car looks great and I don't scrape the hedders ever, not even on steep driveways (I do scrape that damn Spohn tunnel brace though, time to rip it off).

People complain about ground clearance with the SLP LT's more than any other header. They might be a good flowing header, but they seem to be designed for people who live where there are no curbs or potholes.
