Default WS6 sway bar vs aftermarket?

How does the WS6 rear sway bar compare to some of the aftermarket ones? Im looking and I see most of them are 22mm, and some are 1.250" which is like 33mm.

Basically, what Im asking is, is it worth it to upgrade from my ws6 rear sway to something else?? Im putting down 600-650whp and I have a Strange S60. Thanks!

A WS6 stock rear bar is 19mm, same any other V-8 car. Only 1993 1LE's (rare) and a few cars that had Bilstien Ultra Suspensioni options from SLP had a 21mm rear. No car had a 22mm rear from GM. And 1.25" is a front bar--32mm.

Is it worth an upgrade? Yes if you like better handling, but I'd advise upgrading both the front and rear, not just the rear only if you decide to change bars.

Im running no sway bar in the front, its mainly a street/strip car I wont be doing many curves. UMI sells a drag bar that is 1.250", thats what I was referencing.

Thanks Sam for the quick response.

Is there a noticeable difference in 60' times without the front swaybar?

I havent had a chance to run without one but Im told it helps the weight transfer quicker. Im getting rid of it because its a pain in the *** to route my turbo piping around it.

I don't know about the 93-02 WS6 cars but the late 80's early 90's WS6 cars definitely had 22mm bars in the rear and their are a direct swap on 93-02 cars

No, GM never made a 22mm rear bar. 21 and 23's but no 22.

Speaking of a 23mm rear sway bar, I've got one on my car (bought it off eBay) and never really thought much about it. Is the 23mm rear bar used in many applications throughout the 82-02 F-Body's. If I recall correctly, they only came in the earlier 3rd gens I believe.

I have Sam's rear adjustable bar, hollow so its light. its a nice bar i think the stiff setting is geared for drag racing. I have mine set to the middle seems to work good for autoX with a slight inclination to oversteer when pushed.
