Default C6 calipers with 17" Enkei Win wheels

I purchased these wheels from Lingenfelter back in 1996, and they've been out of production for awhile. They probably have about 200K miles on them between two cars. I've seen notes in various places that the C5/C6 calipers won't fit with these wheels, so I thought I'd post what worked for me.

I was under the impression that the Raybestos anti-rattle kit fit either the C5 or C6 calipers, but after struggling with getting the center clip to stay in my C6 caliper, a long-distance friend advised it's not used and/or doesn't fit on the C6 caliper. Just use the clips at each end of the pad.

I've been using the generic 5/32" spacers on the front with the stock LS1 rotors, because my 315/35/17 race tires needed the inside wheelwell clearance. Those spacers seemed to allow sufficient clearance over a local friends Kore modified C6 calipers. But when mounted to my GM-provided C6 calipers, it was uncomfortably tight. My friend had some spare 7/32" spacers that we used instead.

During bedding, the ABS kicked in easier. The DTC-30 pads are intermittently squeaking, usually during light pedal effort. I don't find it too irritating at this time, and we'll see how the dust behaves.

I didn't buy paint to cover the bare edge of the spindle which was cut, nor did I remember not to touch the ARP bolts with my bare hands. Not sure at this time if either of those issues are a concern.

Here's an image of the 7/32" caliper clearance. There is clearance here, but my phones flash and lens location make it hard to see the gap. I'm going to order hub centric spacers a bit thicker.

And both wheels:

For the record, here was my parts list. I ordered a spare set of rotors.
