Tunnel braces?
Can I take this thing off and leave it off? What is it's main function? I am thinking that if I need one I will probably get the BMR one because it doesn't hang as low at all. I just lowered my car 1" and now that brace scrapes on everything. Please help me figure out if I should keep it, or ditch it. If you're really insistant on trying one, I'll sell you mine for half price. It's got a nasty scrape or two at the lowest point. Email me dope@twelveinch.com

Big pic. I used it with stock exhaust and with FLPs and it wasn't even close to ever banging.

I spohn brace hangs lower because it is made to work with all aftermarket exhaust systems. If you do decide to keep a Tunnel brace on I wouldnt go with the BMR, it is straight and wont clear with most exhaust systems.

As for the tunnel brace being extra weight, I don't think that whole 5lbs is going to hurt you any. If that is the case, just don't eat at Mcdonalds before you hit the track
So watch the speed bumps

I'd be afraid I'd leave it behind on a speed bump in a lowered car. FWIW, the Lakewood DSL mounts to the tunnel brace attachment but it goes over the top of the exhaust so no loss in ground clearance.
