Question No Brake Pressure?... WTF?

K, ... Double posting. I asked this in the Automatic Section but maybe someone could fill in the wholes in here.

"K, this is odd! ... JUST now, parked on a very small (barely visably noticeable) incline. And the car starts gradually rolling backwards even though I'm in park. Threw the e-brake and no difference really. WTF?!!! ... It's like she's in neutral but even if the tranny is craping out, why would the e-brake have almost no effect?

Posting in here because I would like to hear some thoughts as to why it's like 'P' is acting like 'N'. And if so, is there a simple fix.

If anyone wants to add in why the e-brake is having no effect, I'm all ears!

Stock 4L60e, 150K miles(roughly) .. & no previous issues with trans until now."

... Sooo, any thoughts? ...

Addition piece: For a moment, when I had my foot on the brake pedal, my foot sank!! .. Like there was no line pressure.

Emergency brake is controlled by the rear brakes. Your foot brake controls the fronts.

There could just be air in the lines, if so just bleed your brakes.
Otherwise, has anything happened recently that could have ruptured a line?

That's what I thought. Honestly, no. These days or as of late, I drive like ol mother Hubard so I can't imagine it malfunctioning from something I've done.

But why would it randomly act up now? .. I had the brakes 'bled' 4-5 moths ago. I'm just trying to make sence of it.

Sorry if I sound like I'm panicking. I just don't want to walk back out to my car and find it plowed into another car or blocking traffic. ... I actually have a book titled Famous Last Words acting as a 'chuck' behind a tire right now. (ironic)

It seems fine now but I can't stand random occurrences! Drives me nuts!

Replace the amster cylinder. Its the only part that I can think of that I have had randomly lose pressure and come back like no problem. Start there and bleed the brakes again. Now if the shifter was in park I cannot explain why it acted like it was in neutral. The brake failure should not of caused this. Let us know what u find. And just for reasons your foot brake controls both front and rear brakes, the parking/emergency brake controls just the rear by a cable.
