Default c5 vs ls1 pads

Is there a size difference between a c5 pad and ls1 brake pad? Im getting ready to pull the trigger on a c5 conversion but I want to keep my ls1 calipers. I might be going w/ the J&M brackets as they dont require any cutting in case I'd like to go back one day. Thanks guys for any help

LS1 and C5 pads are almost identical in size. You don't gain a bigger pad with this swap. Event the calipers are pretty much the same, though the C5/C6 stuff is a little stiffer and you get the slightly bigger rotor if you are in dire need of shedding more heat.

Generally I recommend a nice set of pads, lines, fluid for the stock LS1 brakes. That's fine for most folks who aren't open tracking the cars a lot.

As valid a reason as any. If you need help on the pads, rotors, etc let me know. I do have the UMI brackets as well (I know, I know they're not on the website--only so much time in the day...)
