Default So I made my own subframe connectors...

Took about 3 1/2 total hours of cutting/fitting pieces, welding, and painting. But not too shabby for less than $10 The steel was free so that's what the primer and paint cost... Let me know what you guys think! And sorry, they were still hanging and drying when I took the pic. I'll take more when I fit them on the car this spring.

wytry: Looks like excellent work! Are they designed such that they butt up against the pinch weld so they can be welded there?

Well...I made cardboard templates for all the plates, but I'm pretty sure I pitched them after I double checked all the measurements...

looks awesome man!

i made all my own suspension parts (lca brackets, panhard, upper panhard, torque arm, sfc's) and it feels so much better knowing you built it yourself! all the money you save is also a plus

Welded front to back down the pinch weld, or only at the front and rear subframe? Post pics once you have them installed!!

I plan on building my own really soon. yours look awesome. you should draw up some prints and share them. That would save a lot of time fitting and measuring. I plan on fitting them with only tack welds in case i screw them up and when i am satisfied i will weld permanently paint and install. Also how thick was the 2x2 box. I was thinkin 1/8" or 3/16" for mine.
