Knocking noise around turns towards rear of car
Purchased the car recently and finally had a nice day here in PA and took the car out. Every tight turn (90 deg) I take no matter how fast or slow or direction, there is a loud knocking noise towards the rear of the car (sometimes multiple knocks in a row that are loud and you can feel it). I haven't had a chance to get underneath to inspect, but does anyone have any preliminary thoughts on what this could be??
Rear suspension: UMI adj lower ctl arms, UMI ctl arm relocation brackets, UMI non-adj panhard bar, UMI adj torque arm w/ driveshaft safety loop. Also has a Moser 9" (tru-trac) rear but I don't think it could be that.
Doesn't have subframe connectors yet. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Well I'm going to try and get underneath sometime today and grease the bushings and make sure everything is tight. How can you tell if a bushing is bad? And how can I determine if it's the differential? I don't know much about rearends.

mine would make noise when turning or going over uneven bumps. I still have my stock PHB but one of the bolts was about a turn loose where the PHB connects to the body mounth (passenger side) so the vibration would go through the body and make a knocking noise. I took the wheel off, tightened the bolt and it went away.
Might not be your problem but thought I'd try to help. Good luck

did you make any changes to the car just before noticing it?
i also think its your rear end/differential. it becomes louder with every suspension part you upgrade because the harder bushings will transfer the noise easier.
i had a 240sx with LSD and sperical rod ends on every suspension arm, with gutted interior it wasnt a knock it was a BANG!
you could try putting in some LSD additive to your rear end. helps a bit, just dont use too much. usually comes in a tube almost like toothpaste at your local parts store.
