Default What shocks do I have in my car?

Somehow I lost the nut on my rear shock that bolts to the perch on the axle. I can not seem to find the right size replacement at my hardware store as everything seems just a little bit too small.

Looks Im gonna have to contact the manufacturer and see if they can sell me a replacement nut.

I was looking at the shock and the brand starts with a "del" and then I can't make out the rest. Other than that it says "rear" and "3914."

What do you guys think it is?

thanks!

"del" or "de"? Could be a "De Carbon", which is stock. What color is it?

EDIT: Damn, when did I load this page? It didn't show any responses, LOL.

Glad you've been helped!

thats what i did...

I found a bolt that the other sides nut would fit on, so i bought the nut that went with that bolt...

I get home and its just barely to small to thread on, I even tried clean the threads out with my dad's tap and die set, but its still too tight

Just replace them

Hell, some Monroe Sensatracks would probably even be an upgrade over the DeCarbons..

Not necessarily, taken from Sam Strano: "Sensa-tracs have slots cut in the body that let oil bypass the piston in the first bit of travel."

You'd be better off spending a few extra $$$ and getting something that works properly, or even stock OEM replacements for that matter.
