was looking at buying some Eibach Lowering springs and just wondering if all i need are the springs to lower?

When I lowered mine, all I did was buy the springs. Ended up having to buy new struts though cause the front passenger side bolt was rusted and I couldn't get it off.

Eibach's will lower you a lot. Are you after just the look, or do you care about ride quality also. What shocks do you have now? Crashing into the bump stops will make your ride pretty unpleasant.

How low do you want to go, and what is your budget? Lowering will sacrifice ride quality, but how much depends on your chosen ride height, shock, and spring selection. Where you live, the quality of the roads, tires, and bumps stops also have an impact.

about 1 inch in rear and 2 in front. not sure on budget, good shocks? and what other suspension should i update/add? roads

1" in the rear isn't too bad (and there are plenty of springs around for that), but 2" up front. I have to tell you, a 2" drop is going to be a real rough ride, no matter what shock and spring you use. Where do you live? How are the roads?

You could do lowering A-arms (of course they use poly and a rod end, so that won't do much for ride quality or cabin noise), a set of 1" lowering springs, and the upper mount mod to gain some travel back. Bilstein shocks are a good choice. The rear, the hose mod is cheap and can get you .75" of a drop, or go with a set of lowering springs.

Read the stickies and get your self familiar with the options. You might also need an adjustable panhard bar. Depends on the width of your rear wheels.

How much your willing to spend will determine a lot. If you wanted to try different ride heights you could opt for a set coilovers on the front with adjustable spring seats on the rear. Of you course every time you adjust the height you'll need an alignment.

People will tell you not to, but I cut my springs and the car rides the same. No hitting bump stops, just scrapes the air dam, because I'm running a 24.5" front tire. I am going to get the MT front and a 325/50/15 for the rear and the fender gaps should be right where I want them. Do a search, it's your car, I don't like the rough ride of lowering springs, so I just cut them. Didn't cost a thing and if things didn't turn out the way I wanted I could always pick up used springs in the classified section.

The rear took me about 5 minutes. The front took a lot longer (about an hour if I remember correctly). And yes, lca's and brackets are a good investment. You will probably get some wheel hop after you are done, and this should fix it.

I would not recommend going over 1 inch allthe way around. Go any lower and you will get a rough ride out of it. I would say get a set of lowering springs. You don't really need anything else but it is a plies to start adding adjustable parts to your setup so that you can get your rear end lined up right. Now I am not a fan of cutting springs but I had a spare set of stock springs and just to see how it did I cut 1 coil out of each spring and I have to say wow it set it down about 1 in and has a very nice ride. Not far from stock ride quality.

i have the pro kit specs say it lowers 1-1.5 and im pretty sure mine lowered more in the front. There are a ton of options out there, I hear good things about Strano, and i think im gonna swap to those in the future and sell my pro kit springs. You lose traction on acceleraton if you dont put LCA's and PHB or so i read, and i beleive it cuz i dont have aftermarket LCA's PHB and i dont get traction 1st and 2nd if i press on it.
