Are you asking if the bolts will be OK to reuse, unlike head bolts? Sure, they are no TTY bolts.

Or

Are you asking if they will fit the hole diameter of new LCAs? I can't say because I don't know which manufacturer LCAs you have. They SHOULD be the same size. However, if you've purchased Brand X LCAs, Lord knows what was used.

Teh factory LCA bolts are the correct grade and strength (though I don't like that they are fully threaded and not shanked like the 3rd gens). If you replace them, you will probably get a bolt that is not as strong, or doesn't fit properly. I would use the bolts that are there, GM picked those for a reason and most people will not use the correct grade and strength bolt. Many stick a grade 8 or "super grade 8" in there, those bolts are hard, and brittle. The beating they take from some aftermarked LCA's may be enough to crack or break them (think of glass, it's hard, but it shatters).

My thoughts....

I agree. Stick with the stock ones assuming they are not stripped. Grade 8 is not necessarily the ideal grade for a car chassis/suspension that flexes.

The factory bolts are generally property class 10.9 metric fasteners, which are the metric equivalent to standard grade 8 fasteners (i.e. 150 ksi minimum tensile strength). So using grade 8 is not a problem so long as the size is proper to fit your application (e.g. BMR uses 1/2" dia. standard bolts whereas some other aftermarket parts use the OEM 12mm dia.).

Reusing the factory bolts is fine. If you replace them, be sure to use the same strength rating as the OEM. Also get ones with enough shank to span the entire grip length if possible. I'm not a fan of the factory "all threads" either.
