Default Parking Brake

I went to adjust the parking brake I never use it. And the two pistons on each side just slide out. I am trying to find what the Part is so I can replace it. Any help would be awesome thank you

After some further looking around and taking the other side apart. I am missing this little rod. I cut down a piece of rod and it is close to size. But I would like to get the correct part.

Look at the diagram in post number 2 of this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspensio...-assembly.html

Are you looking for part #6?

Do you have access to the mechanism? When you take it apart, #6 usually hides in a gob of grease lodged in #3. It sounds like its time for a full clean and re-lube of the mechanism:

If you unscrew #3, you can wiggle the lever out of the parking brake cable. If you clean everything out good with rubbing alcohol or brake cleaner, you should find #6 in there somewhere. Just liberally lube everything with brake caliper grease and you'll be good to go.

#8 and #9 do come apart. When they are tight against each other, the grease creates some wicked suction also. I had to sit down with them, use brake cleaner to dissolve the grease and eventually they came apart so I could re-lube them.

If you still can't find #6, you can only get it in a full brake repair kit, part number 12454994. RMS Auto parts has a good diagram of what's in the kit. They are also the only place that sells #3 as an individual item. (If you are taking your brake apart, its probably time to replace these rubber boots, as well.)

Thanks for the help. Looks like I am going to order the kit. The boots well what should be the boots look like hell. Worst think I did to my car was putting damn Eibach kit on it. I have a BMR Trak pack kit and the bar that goes across got bent up and now the drive shaft is rubbing it.

You might also consider getting the rod from a salvage yard. Its not like it ever encounters any stress or real wear. Its more like a wedge to keep the brake engaged when parked.
