Which Torque Arm for Street / Strip / Autocross ?

This is all very confusing.... I want a torque arm for autocross and street driving. Maybe a occasional drag race. You still recommend the above?

Simple, FULL LENGTH, adjustable or non adjustable torque arm. And the Torque Arm Relocation bracket to move the mounting point off the transmission tail shaft. There.. thats all you need.

Yes this is correct. I would recommend a full length torque arm as well and when we say full length we mean the same length as factory and bolts into the same location as factory. These style arms work excellent on the street, for handling and at the drag strip. If you were worried about the torque arm still being mounted to the tail shaft of the transmission you can run a torque arm relocation kit and it can be added at anytime. I don't recommend a non-adj. torque arm with a torque arm relocation kit.

How does adjusting the transmission end of the torque arm affect handling and launch with the relocation kit?

It changes the postion of the IC of the car.

The IC of a torque arm suspension is located at the intersection of a vertical line through the torque arm contact point and another line through the pivot points of the lower links. So, as Ed pointed out, if you lower the rear pivots for the lower links (or, for that matter, raise the front pivots), the IC will move up. This means more anti-squat, or, as Ed put it, a harder hit on launch.
