personally id raise the rear before i go cutting springs, you will mess up the designed rate, and could affect the integrity. There was a user in one of the strano threads that got a piece that was adjustable for the rear to raise it abit.

Not worried about the rear.I can fine tune that and get it a little higher if need be.The front is like a 4x4 with the C5 & tires.Cutting half a coil off will have little effect on a stiff spring like these eibachs imo.

I know what you mean. Let us know how much you cut and see the finished results.

^^^ That's the way they should sit.Yours sits good in the front.Little lower in the back than I would like.Just really not looking forward to taking my springs out to trim then put back in.Hopefully I get it just right on the first try......
Anyway to compress the spring while in car? Cut a section off bottom and turn spring to sit in perch?

Its possible, I did that on a 95 z28 because I couldn't remove the top strut bolts. I used the external compressors and an angle grinder, it was a PITA. It would have been way easier to remove the whole strut assembly and coil. I would never do it on my 98 though. On your car, I would look at the way you seated the front coils, it looks way off, pretty much stock height in those pics.

I put the Eibach springs & seated in exactly how stock springs were before taken out.Looks like im not the only one with this problem though.

When I installed my Eibach springs, the ends of the front coils didn't sit exactly like the stockers did. I had to rotate the rubber until it was totally butted against the end of the coil on each side. Either way good luck, it'll look great in the end.

Right.seated in the top was the same but rubber piece had to adjust for bottom spring.I'll try to take wheel off later today and take a pic but I'm 99% sure I did it right

So while going back to put wheel back on I decided to look for part #'s on springs.I remember seeing eibach stamped on them in the box. They were bought used off ebay Months ago.Looked on the front spring and i see......
Stamped on the spring is SLP300/450 and next spring down 89281.So apparently D bag put 2 front SLP Springs & 2 Rear Eibach Springs in the Pro Kit Box he mailed to me.From what I could find SLP springs only drop 1/2-3/4 of a inch. This explains my problem and be careful when buying parts off Ebay from D Bags.

Damn that sucks man. I hate when ppl do stuff like that, either being careless or dishonest. At least you know all of your bolts are loosened up and not froze with rust, so the coil swap should be a breeze.

I have the same issue, im just waiting to do more front suspension mods before i mess with them. I would like to know what could help lower the front though, had a shop install them. So maybe they didnt sit the springs correctly or something....

this is true.Noticed a worn upper ball joint too while i was in there and inner tie rod is ok but also a little worn but still ok for now.Think im gonna just go ahead and rebuild the whole front suspension too while im in there.
