Default Front sits high after prokit.

Installed Prokit awhile back.Have 18 inch C5 rims all the way around with 275/35/18's.Everything is good except the front sits higher than I would like.Happy where the rear sits.I didn't measure before but as of now the front sits 27 1/2 inchs from ground to fender on both sides with about 2 1/2 inchs from top of tire to fender lip.Stock crapcarbon shocks.Springs have been on the car for about 1-2 months with minimum driving to settle.Would really like the front to lower another inch if possible before I go get a alignment done so I only have to do it once.Anyone else have this problem,Ideas?

If I remember right, my brothers SS sits lower than that in the front on stock springs. I think his is at 27 or 27 1/4. That's with 17" wheels also.

Maybe a sponsor will be able to chime in or another suspension guru.

Did you compress the front spring when you installed it? Is everything reinstalled properly?

The backs on the prokit have a tendency to sag. (I've got them) Do you have a speaker box in the back? My back DOES sit low, but my whole car is pretty low as it is. You clocked the spring isolator, right? it's gotta sit into the cut end of the spring. Pro-Kits suck. If I could do it all over again I woulda done Hotchkis or Strano.

And tech seems pretty slow lately. Toward the end of our off-season.

It seems a hair higher in the front... But I've got a dual 12" box too.

did you spring index the front springs when you re installed them , because if you didn't it will cause irregular ride height

You have any weight reduction in the front? That does seem like a fair bit of a gap.

^ I kept bottoming out in the back so I added the heater hose wrap in the back and retained the isolator to raise the back end up a ~1/2". Your stance looks about right. Mine's the same.
I always figured it was the way the fenders were cut from the factory is why it looked different.

"Sag" is the perception...several dimensional considerations to consider. I've got pro's too and yes, it appears the rear sits lower due to the tire/fender gap relationship. The rear gap was tighter to begin with. The top of the rear fender opening is slightly lower than the front to start with, so you have to look at the issue proportionally. The springs did their job give or take a 1/4" though the appearance of the rear being lower the front is now magnified. Solution in my opinion is change springs, cut the front or raise the rear.

Personally, before I put mine back together, I'm going to cut my front slightly - 1/2 coil? I still have my isolator in the back, but my 9" should raise it slightly. I have room to work with I figure and would rather "tune" the rear than mess with the front.

Awkward view, but I have the same issue...

I think im going to cut the front springs a tad when I get the time and then go get a alignment and down the road heater hose mod in the back if it gives me problems. If i cut half a coil how much with that drop it? if I remember right, half a coil is anywhere from 1- 1 1/4 inch drop.

Yea I can see that even in the angle of the pic.Ive seen so many pics of car on here after lowered and never noticed the gap in the front compared to the rear,or at least that big of a differance.None many of em had 18 inch rims and 275/35 tires on em though. It's gonna bug the crap out of me until its fixed so im not looking forward to it but I gotta take the SOB's out.Cut em,then put em back in.Really wish I knew this before even putting them in the first time. Thanks Eibach.
